So my pathfinder got its CVT replaced about two weeks ago, and goes great. 3.5 years in on the 7 year CVT warranty.

And i’m getting operated next Wednesday. They will put me all back together again. Going to be in the hospital for a week again. This time I’m bringing my notebook and many, many movies and TV series to watch.

So one week left with my bag.

Wohoo, brand new parts for everyone!

Take it easy for a few thousand km, and drive the Pathfinder nicely too..

So you should theoretically be all fixed after this? Fingers crossed!

did nissan finally switch to a metal belt CVT? I cant imagine the CVT in my friends altima pulling a pathfinder

The pathfinder’s belt is metal

It can tow 5000lbs, and i think the 2017 is even more.

Yeah but hard to take that claim seriously when it needs a trans replacement presumably without towing 5k. I hope it holds up and ive heard nissan cvts have gotten much better since the first gen

No new parts for me, all the old ones that were given a 2 month break.

I’m gonna have a liquid diet for at least a month.(not the same liquid diet I had in college)

The 2013 and early 2014 pathfinders were known to have problems with the cvt(first year for the metal belt)

Mine is a early 2014. so far i towed my side by side, my cargo trailer once with about 4000 lbs of bricks.

Simplify and add lightness?

family had a 2005 murano cvt that was a nightmare and 2012 altima that held up well so they definitely are improving
